Oğul Öztunç
He graduated in 2014 from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture, receiving the award for the best graduation project. For three years, he worked at Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Architecture, contributing to drawing, architectural design, and urban design studios within the institute’s valuable academic environment. He gained practical and technical experience over two years at TEGET Architecture Office, working on projects of varying scales. In 2017, he co-founded Piknik Works with Atıl Aggündüz.
He has received several awards in national and international competitions, including the 1st Prize at Archiprix 2014, the HPP Travel Award, the IABA International Young Architects Competition, and the Un'Idea, Una Città International Competition.
He has had the opportunity to present his work and research in various solo and group publications and exhibitions, including the printed book Daily Life Detectives: The Bomonti Incident, the Drawing Futures book, conference, and exhibition organized by UCL Bartlett in London, the Performative Drawing project realized with Piknik Works in solo exhibitions in Istanbul, Stockholm, and Jerusalem, the Istanbul Design Biennale, as well as in magazines like Bauwelt and online platforms such as Designboom.
He has also participated as both participant and instructor in various workshop environments, including EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly), AA Visiting School, Bilgi International Summer School, the VBenzeri Design Marathon, CUP (Critical Urban Practice) Workshops, and the Liege Real Estate and Architecture Summer School.
