She was born on June 10, 1961, in Köyceğiz. She became a medical doctor in 1984 and a pediatric surgeon in 1992. In 1998, she left the university and ended her academic career to focus on painting in a studio setting. Since then, she has held regular exhibitions every year and has presented her works at art fairs such as Contemporary İstanbul, Artankara, and Art Contact İstanbul.

Her paintings explore the human being and the nature of existence.

Because she creates her figures by erasing or scraping the paint, she uses a rigid surface, and in recent years, she has primarily worked on plywood. After preparing the surface with a putty close to skin tone, she paints over it in black. Once the paint is dry, she reveals the figures using techniques such as scraping, sanding, and dissolving with thinner. She believes this method allows her to more easily access the images in her mind.

She believes that staying monochromatic emphasizes her expressive approach.
