Kerem Piker


Kerem Piker was born in Ankara in 1978. He completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Faculty of Architecture in 2001 and received his master’s degree from TU Delft, Faculty of Architecture in the Netherlands in 2004. Between 2004 and 2010, he worked with EAA, serving as project architect, designer, and office partner, contributing to various publications and exhibition designs. In 2010, the Chicago Athenaeum recognized him as one of the 40 best architects under 40 in Europe.

In 2011, Kerem Piker founded KPM – Kerem Piker Architecture, during which he led the design of numerous award-winning projects. In 2012, his project Bomba was featured in the 1st Istanbul Design Biennial. In 2015, he served as guest editor for issue 45 of Betonart Magazine. In 2016, the Akyazý Cultural Center, which he designed, received the Project Achievement Award at the 15th National Architecture Awards. In 2019, his IPL Istanbul Project was invited to the 12th International São Paulo Architecture Biennale.

Since 1998, Kerem Piker has been involved as a jury member and guest lecturer in architectural project studios and national architectural competitions at ITU, YTU, Gebze YTE, and Bilgi University. He is also the curator of the Turkey Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
